Mission Of Burma Announce Best Of

Learn How will be supported by a European tour; listen to 'That's When I Reach For My Revolver' below

Formative US post-punks Mission Of Burma have announced a best of compilation, Learn How: The Essential Mission of Burma, set for release on CD and download on December 3 via Fire. We’ve got an exclusive stream of their classic cut, ‘That’s When I Reach For My Revolver’, from their 1981 EP ‘Signals, Calls, and Marches’:

While the band only released one album, Vs, the EP and a clutch of singles in their first stint, beginning in 1979, they still left an influential, ear-ringingly loud trail after they disbanded in 1983, owing to singer and guitarist Roger Miller’s extreme tinnitus. They reformed in 2002 for a series of live shows, going on to release four albums of ace new material.

Learn How will be consequently be a two-CD affair, split into the two lifespans – pre-order it here.

We’ll have an interview with the band posted soon, so keep an eye on the site.

Ahead of the album release, they’ll be heading out on a 12-date European tour, including a stop at Shellac’s ATP Nightmare Before Christmas – have a look at the UK dates below:

DECEMBER

Sun 2 – Camber Sands, Somerset – Nightmare Before Christmas

Mon 3 – The Fleece, Bristol

Tue 4 – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Wed 5 – Mono, Glasgow

Thu 6 – Birthdays, London
