Jo Dunne, the guitarist of Birmingham punk band We’ve Got A Fuzzbox And We’re Gonna Use It!!, has died aged 43.
The singer died from cancer in the city’s St Mary’s Hospice on Friday night.
The band, whose name was shortened to Fuzzbox, originally started out as a pop-punk band, releasing cuts including ‘XX Sex’, ‘Rules And Regulations’ (which featured in John Peel’s 1986 Festive Fifty) and the top 4 hit ‘Love Is The Slug’, before returning as an synthpop vocal group with 1989’s Big Bang! album.
They reunited in 2010 for a UK tour and released a cover of M’s ‘Pop Muzik’.
