Oasis have been forced to cancel three dates on their forthcoming European tour, including an appropriately cro-magnon stop off at the Eden project, after it emerged that Noel Gallagher is suffering from broken ribs.
The Oasis guitarist was attacked onstage in Toronto last weekend, forcing the band to pull a series of North American and Canadian dates. It had been thought that the European tour would be unaffected, but Oasis have issued a statement saying, "A CT scan has now revealed that Noel suffered three broken and dislodged ribs in the attack, and he has been advised by his doctor that he will not be able to perform for at least another week."
As well as the Eden Project show on September 27th, gigs in Cologne (29th) and Paris (30th) have also been pulled. Oasis management have promised that all dates will be rescheduled. Oasis’ new album Dig Out Your Soul is released on October 7th. Read The Qiuetus review of Dig Out Your Soul.
