Jarvis Cocker Heads To Arctic On Climate Mission

Host of artists set sail from Greenland on environmental cruise

Jarvis Cocker has joined the likes of Laurie Anderson, Feist, KT Tunstall and Martha Wainwright on a voyage to the slightly-less-chilly-than-they-were Arctic waters to investigate climate change, reports Pitchfork.

The Cape Farewell expedition was begun in 2001 to give artists and musicians the opportunity to be inspired by the work of scientists investigating climate change.

Lori Majewski, a blogger on board writes, "Our mission: For the artists to experience the High Arctic, the frontline of climate change, and to observe the scientists and oceanographers at work."
