SHAPE Platform Reveals 2021 Roster

Nazar, Kali Malone and KMRU feature on the EU-backed initiative's roster for the next 12 months

SHAPE Platform, the EU-supported union of a number of experimental European festivals, has revealed its roster of artists for 2021.

Originally running for a 12-month period from January, the latest run of activities will run for a full year from April 1 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with plans consisting of a mix of live events and online shows, such as streams and exhibitions. 48 artists from across Europe feature on this year’s roster, including Hyperdub signee Nazar; Editions Mego affiliate KMRU; one-half of Tomaga, Valentina Magaletti; Sweden’s Kali Malone; Italy’s Grand River and Shapednoise; and UK group Still House Plants; among others.

This is SHAPE’s seventh year of activities. The initiative is run by a union of 16 European festivals, including Terraforma, Maintenant, Unsound and CTM. It was founded as a seven-year programme in 2014, and is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. Find more information here.
