Randall - 'Wahran' (Dharma Music)
Guido: A newcomer from Algeria, Randall produced this irresistible slow tempo dance machine that we haven’t been able to stop playing for several months now. We're not sure if this track is representative of Algerian music today, but it's a pleasure to see a young artist emerge from this beloved country of ours. It's full of his musical roots though - I dunno if he programmed it or played it but the melody is typically Algerian.

Hervé: Yeah, we don't know that much about him, we just know this track and a few others. In a way it sounds a bit cheesy and commercial - he's into percussive house - but he brings the deep electronic sounds which are somehow more Arabic... more Algerian-style. I dunno if it has been commercially successful in France.
