Björk's new live show Cornucopia will see her perform alongside an Icelandic flute ensemble and other musicians

Björk has revealed plans for a new live show called 'Cornucopia'.

The show is set to premiere next year at New York venue The Shed, which will open soon before. Tony Award-winning director John Tiffany will oversee the project, while Chloe Lamford and Tobias Gremmler will take care of stage and digital design.

"This winter I will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators," Björk has tweeted of the show concept. It's Björk's first ever live show production to be created alongside theatrical collaborators.

For the shows, she will be joined by seven-piece Icelandic flute ensemble Viibra. They were previously involved in her live shows over the summer which saw Björk touring her latest album Utopia. There will also be a harpist (Katie Buckley) and percussionist (Manu Delgado) on stage, while Ólafur Arnalds collaborator Bergur Þórisson will handle electronics.

The shows are scheduled for spring of 2019, though no exact dates or ticket information are yet available. Read our review of Björk's appearance at Paris festival We Love Green over the summer here.
