Earlier this month, tQ’s Richard Foster used this article to go deep into Estonia’s burgeoning exciting alternative music scene. Now, a part of that wave is set to touch UK shores as an inspiring collective of Estonian electronic artists take part in the Electronic Communications: Exchanging Messages Through Sound tour,
Comprising productions by HAPE, Hypnosaurus (listen above), Cubus Larvik, and DJ Ilmajaam, the tour will celebrate 100 years of Estonian independence, along with the meteoric rise of electronic music in the country.
One of the primary highlights of the tour will be house and techno artist Aivar Tõnso’s project, Hypnosaurus, who will release a new EP during the tour, in addition to performances by composer and nature recorder Taavi Tulev, ambient duo Cubus Larvik. They’ll be joined by DJ Ilmajaam, who will select and play pivotal tracks taken from throughout Estonian musical history. The Fuse Arts Space Bradford date will also feature UK acts DJ
