Factory Floor have announced details of a release for their alternative score to Fritz Lang’s 1927 film Metropolis.
A Soundtrack For A Film will be released on the duo’s own label, H/O/D Records. The score was originally commissioned as part of a screening last year at London’s Science Museum. In total, it comes in at 150 minutes.
The release, which is due on October 2, will be preceded by a single, called Transform, which is due in September and can be heard above. The studio version of the score will be available as part of a vinyl box set which is being released to coincide with the 90th anniversary of Fritz Lang’s film.
