Pixes Announce Anniversary Reissue Of Debut

Pixies' Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim are to be reissued for a new 30th anniversary release

Pixies will mark the 30th anniversary of their albums Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim with a box set reissue featuring both albums as well as a bonus disc of Live From The Fallout Shelter, a concert that first aired in late 1986.

For the reissues, Vaughan Oliver returns as designer – as with all other Pixies sleeves – to reinterpret the albums’ original artwork, while retaining Simon Larbalestier’s photographs as the design’s central focus.

The reissues will be available in both 3-CD and 3×12" sets. There will also be a deluxe and limited 3×12" box set, pressed on clear vinyl and bound in a hardback book, which will be available later in the year. The standard editions will be available from September 28. You can pre-order the reissues here.

The band will also mark the anniversary with a run of five sold-out nights at London’s Roundhouse between October 30 and November 3.
