Group including New Order, Bad Liutenant and Devo associates have released a video for their new single 'Celebrate'

ShadowParty, the synth group made up of members of New Order, Devo and Bad Lieutenant, have released a new video just in time for tonight’s World Cup semi final between England and Croatia.

You can watch the football-themed video for the aptly-titled ‘Celebrate’ above. Singer Denise Johnson (Primal Scream, A Certain Ratio) recorded her “joyous” backing vocals in Tom Chapman’s (of New Order) kitchen, and has expressed her hopes for World Cup success.

She said: "We recorded my backing vocals for ‘Celebrate’ in Tom’s kitchen. The chorus is joyous and can relate to any occasion, in this case it’s quite apt that the World Cup is in full swing, especially as the England football team have not reached a final since 1966, the country could really do with something to celebrate."

ShadowParty will release their debut on July 27 via Mute, you can pre-order it here
