Paul McCartney Announces New Album

Paul McCartney's new album takes its name from one of his paintings

Paul McCartney has announced a new album called Egypt Station. Above and below, you can hear the double A-side single ‘I Don’t Know’ and ‘Come On To Me’.

The album takes its name from one of McCartney’s paintings and marks McCartney’s first new LP since 2013’s NEW. The album is bookended by two instrumental tracks and was recorded between London, Los Angeles and Sussex.

"I liked the words ‘Egypt Station,’" says McCartney of the albums’ title. "It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make. Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from."

Egypt Station is set for release on September 7.
