With her ninth full-length album set for release at the beginning of next month, Neko Case takes Emma Madden on a trip from The Cramps to Joanna Newsom, as she calls at 13 ports of strangeness for her Baker's Dozen.

The recording is so dirty and I love the announcer's voice: "Live at the Peppermint Lounge, THE CRAMPS!", he has this awesome lisp. It's like, if sexiness could be fun and not just this creepy, adult world. This is the kind of sexiness I wanna live, where everyone's invited and everyone's having fun. It's super make-out music

And did you 'make out' to it?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I did when I was older but this came out when I was like 14, I was too young for making out then.
