Space Rocks Combines Science And Music

Space Rocks is a new series of events celebrating space exploration and science, as well as the music and art they inspire

Later this month, Space Rocks, a new event combining science and culture, will take over the indigo venue at The O2 featuring panel discussions and live performances.

The day will open with a series of demonstrations and discussions by scientists, before the second sessions of the day sees a panel of figures come together to look at portrayals of science in various aspects of culture. The panel will feature Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley, astronaut Tim Peake, Gavin Rothery, who is the co-creator of Duncan Jones’ 2009 sci-fi film Moon and more.

The day will finish up with live performances including Ash’s Charlotte Hatherley returning to perform her new sci-fi-inspired album True Love live for the first time. Other musicians will also play new music inspired by science and space exploration.

It all takes place on April 22, and you can find more details here.
