Bruce Gilbert’s new album, Ex Nihilo, sees him return to Editions Mego, marking a milestone for the label as their 250th release. Above, you can hear ‘Change and Not’ lifted from the album.
The five-minute cut centres around brooding atmospherics and a recurring drone, sitting amongst a number of noise-led, experimental pieces and finding a perfect home at Editions Mego.
Gilbert, one of the founding members of Wire, makes his return to the label for the first time since the release of 2009’s Oblivio Agitatum which followed in the wake of a series of experimental releases with Mute, produced following his departure from Wire in 2004.
Ex Nihilo is out now and can be purchased here.
