Emma Tricca’s new album St. Peter will be released on April 20 via Dell’Orso records. You can see the video for the first taste of the new record ‘Julian’s Wings’, directed by Julian Hand above.
Its Tricca’s first since 2014’s Relic, a gap which saw the artist travelling between London, Rome and New York, during which she did most of the writing for the new album.
Tricca said: "I guess I seem to follow the inspiration when it comes. Often the songs are sparked by everyday life images. 1950s beat poetry, the Italian twilight movement Crepuscolari and Hermeticism philosophy are amongst my biggest influences."
The album features a stellar cast of backing musicians, with Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley on drums, Pete Galub on bass, The Dream Syndicate’s Jason Victor on guitar and various guest performances from the likes of Howe Gelb, Paper Dollhouse’s Astrud Steehouder and Judy Collins.
