PJ Harvey has contributed a new track to the upcoming thriller film Dark River, directed by Clio Barnard, and you can check it out now via the trailer clip above.
The film itself is out on February 23, and stars Ruth Wilson, Mark Stanley, and Sean Bean. It sees two estranged siblings reunite following their father’s death before their relationship descends into a dispute over inheritance.
The new track from PJ Harvey marks her first release since ‘The Camp’, a collaboration with Egyptian artist Ramy Essam which she shared earlier this year. The single was released to raise awareness of and funding to aid displaced children in the Lebanese Bekaa Valley with many of those affected by the ongoing conflict in Syria fleeing to Lebanon.
