Oneohtrix Point Never Announces New ‘Concertscape’ Concept

A new 'concertscape' experience from Oneohtrix Point Never called myRiad will premiere in New York next year

Oneohtrix Point Never has announced the world premiere of a new ‘concertscape’ concept called myRiad, set to take place in May of next year.

Premiering in New York, it will take place at the city’s Park Avenue Armory venue for Red Bull Music Academy’s New York festival. It is being billed as a four-part song cycle, though further information on what exactly the show will entail is scarce.

"Pulling from long-standing fascinations with film and television tropes, abstract sculpture, game ephemera, poetry, apocryphic histories, internet esoterica, and philosophies of being, myRiad generates a conceptual spectrum that is as much a speculation on the unthinkable future as it is an allegory for the current disquiet of a civilisation out of balance with its environment," the text accompanying the show’s announcement reads.

You can find out more about the show and concept here.

The producer is currently working on his next album following the recent release of his score for the film Good Time. The score, his first solo soundtrack for a film, won him the Best Soundtrack Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
