Brian Eno and My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields have teamed up on a new nine-minute ambient track. You can hear the track above.
The track, called ‘Only Once Away My Son’, has been released as part of Adult Swim’s seventh annual Singles series which sees various artists share exclusive tracks. It marks the first time Eno and Shields have collaborated together on record.
The release of ‘Only Once Away My Son’ follows on from Eno’s ambient album Reflection, which was issued earlier this year, and comes amidst Shields’ ongoing activity to reissue My Bloody Valentine’s first two albums. Shields is also said to be working on a new My Bloody Valentine album as per a biography on Shields’ artist page for Iceland festival Norður og Niður.
