Hamburg club Golden Pudel will reopen its doors around 18 months after a fire destroyed the building forcing its closure.
The club has set a reopening date for August 17 and will open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of August. From September, it will be fully functioning again and opening for all seven days of the week.
The small, much-loved venue’s future was left in doubt after a dispute over the building between its owners which was later settled before a fire tore through the club. The local government stepped in earlier this year to loan €300,000 to the owners in order to help with the rebuilding and a number of fundraising efforts have taken place including parties in London and Manchester, as well as a video campaign which featured contributions from Helena Hauff, Lena Willikens and many more.
Golden Pudel resident Nina will invite DJ Storm and Good News to play alongside her on August 18 while the Smallville label are due to host a party at the club on September 7.
