He was 41

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has reportedly committed suicide. He was 41.

As TMZ reports, he was found in his Los Angeles County home early on Thursday morning. Bennington had spoken in the past about his struggle with depression and was also open about his battle with drugs and alcohol.

Linkin Park released their debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000 and led the rap metal movement that became a definitive sound of the decade following the album’s release, later collaborating in 2005 with Jay-Z.
