Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti deliver a chugging remix of The Charlatans' recent single

Having released their guest-filled latest album, Different Days, last month, The Charlatans have now unveiled a Chris & Cosey remix of the album's title track, available to listen to exclusively above.

Twisting the original into a chugging, '80s synth-pop roller, the track carries over the vocals of Tim Burgess and contributing vocals from actress and comedian Sharon Horgan featured on the source track.

Horgan had been a fan of The Charlatans since she was a teenager, and her contribution to their latest album came about after becoming friends with Tim Burgess via Twitter in 2015. The original also features New Order's Stephen Morris, a longtime collaborator of The Charlatans', on drums, as well as on several other tracks on the album, which sees the likes of Paul Weller, Ian Rankin, Johnny Marr and Anton Newcombe all offer contributions in various forms too.

Chris & Cosey's remix of 'Different Days' will be released as part of a limited edition 7" single, also featuring the original track, on July 14. You can pre-order that here.
