Parlophone are set to release two David Bowie records in limited numbers as part of this year’s Record Store Day.
The first of those is Cracked Actor (Live in Los Angeles 1974), which will mark the first official release of a recording from his Philly Dogs Tour show in Los Angeles in September of that year. The tracks that make up the record were all mixed by longtime collaborator Tony Visconti with the full show to be made available on triple vinyl with the last side to be covered by an etching of the Diamond Dogs-era logo. The package will also feature rare and unseen photographs as well as newly commissioned artwork.
The second record is Bowpromo, which recreates a 1971 Bowie EP which was pressed in very limited quantities. The record features alternate versions of some of the tracks that would go on to make up Bowie’s Hunky Dory album.
This year’s Record Store Day, the 10th edition, will take place on April 22.
