Behringer Planning Affordable Analog Synths

Company owner says he wants to build synths to sell at $49

Behringer have revealed plans for a new line of affordable analog synths.

As FACT points out, owner Uli Behringer has said that the company hopes to introduce a new range of equipment starting at the price of just $49. His comments were made during the launch of the DeepMind 12 synth, which is the company’s first analog synth.

"We’re going to go all in," Behringer said, speaking at the launch last month. We want to build everything from $49, up to what you want." His comments suggested that Behringer would be listening closely to customer feedback, and responding with further launches and ideas. With the comment coming now though, it will be some time before the idea comes to fruition – initial planning for the just-launched DeepMind 12 began in 2014.
