With Supersonic returning in 2017 following a break last year, the first names for this year’s event have now been confirmed with Jenny Hval, Anna Von Hausswolff and Laura Cannell all among those set to play.
Von Hausswolff’s set will take place as part of a special opening concert for the festival where she will play on the pipe organ at Birmingham Town Hall. Also confirmed to play are Colin Stetson, Oxbow, Princess Nokia, Arbouretum, Raime, Melt Banana and Zu.
There are many more names set to be announced for the festival with the next wave of confirmations due next month. Supersonic takes place in the Digbeth quarter of Birmigham from June 16-18.
