Leeds producer Happa has revealed his third 12” release on his own PT/5 imprint, Bum Trance / Hallucinations, and above we are streaming its lead track ahead of its release on January 20.
The record is the first in a series of releases planned by the producer for 2017 and marks the first time the forceful, twisted industrial techno of ‘Hallucinations’ has been officially released in full, having appeared since 2015 on various mixtapes and radio shows. ‘Bum Trance’, meanwhile, pushes Happa’s production into feverish new realms of intensity.
It’s yet another significant stride for the producer, who, since first standing out for his 2012 remix of Four Tet’s ‘Jupiters’, has gone on to found his own label PT/5 along with Dan Foat of R&S Records, on which there’s more to follow this year.
