Kate Bush has expressed support of Prime Minister Theresa May in a new interview with Canadian publication Maclean’s.
In news that may shock some of her fans, she describes May as "wonderful" and "the best thing that’s happened to us in a long time" in the interview. Her comments were made in light of a question regarding women in power coming off the back of Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the US presidential election.
"She’s a very intelligent woman but I don’t see much to fear," Bush says of Theresa May. "I will say it is great to have a woman in charge of the country. She’s very sensible and I think that’s a good thing at this point in time."
The interview follows the release of Before The Dawn, the new live album collected from her 22-date run of shows in London in 2014.
