AIM Awards Winners Announced

Stormzy and XL's Richard Russell were among the winners

This year’s AIM Awards took place last night championing independent music with wins for Stormzy, Roisin Murphy and more.

Stormzy took home the Innovator Award while Roisin Murphy was honoured Outstanding Contribution to Music. Richard Russell, head of XL Recordings, received the Pioneer Award for his work as a producer and label owner. Little Simz’ A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons was named Independent Album of the Year while elsewhere Scottish electronic music label Numbers took home Best Small Label.
