Trevor Jackson is currently in the midst of releasing a clutch of new material as Playgroup and above, we have the premiere of one of the latest tracks from the collection of 12" releases in the form of ‘Shadowplay (Dub #2)’.
The track sees the veteran producer on a dubbed-out trip taking his Playgroup project into rather minimal climes, teasing out brief flashes of psychedelic synths and husky vocals.
It features on one of nine vinyl-only limited edition LPs which are being released across nine weeks, having started the series on July 22. Jackson describes the collection as "inspired by the hedonist early days of house, disco, post-punk, electro and dub" and says the tracks "reflect a unique moment in time". Each record is available in a run of just 250. The track features on the fourth of the nine release and is out this Friday (August 12).
