Next month sees the release of the first collaborative album from Tim Burgess and Peter Gordon and, above, we are offering you the chance to take a first look at the video for single ‘Begin’.
The video is the work of none other than Tim Burgess himself and gives a new, colourful update to the oft-undervalued art of the lyric video. The track rather fittingly opens the new album from Burgess and Gordon, which is entitled Same Language, Different Worlds, and is set for release on September 2 via Burgess’ own O Genesis label.
Burgess has long been a fan of Gordon’s work with the likes of Arthur Russell and The Love Of Life Orchestra, and this album marks their first collaboration on record. It was produced by Gordon in New York with contributions also from Ernie Brooks, Peter Zummo, Nik Void and Mustafa Ahmed.
