Tim Burgess and Peter Gordon have announced the release of a new album set for this September and, above, you can check out lead single ‘Unguarded’ right now.

The album, entitled Same Language, Different Worlds, will be released through Burgess’ own label, O Genesis, and presents the results of their collaborations after meeting in 2012. The album was produced in New York by Gordon with Ernie Brooks, Peter Zummo, Mustafa Ahmed and Nik Void all contributing to the album also.

“What I love about working with Peter is that in the late ’70s with Peter Zummo and Arthur Russell and all the New York cats at The Kitchen they were all making futuristic records,” says Burgess. “Now Peter in his mid-60s is still looking to do that. It’s the world that I want to be in.”

The album will be released in vinyl, CD and digital formats on September 2 and the pair will play shows together at the start of September including an appearance at Festival No.6.
