Anna Meredith puts her own spin on John Grant's new single; listen to the results below

John Grant is currently prepping for the release of new single ‘Voodoo Doll’ taken from his most recent album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, and alongside the single’s release, a number of remixes will also be made available.

Among those who have put a spin on Grant’s original are Anna Meredith and you can check out her contribution to the remix package above. Meredith turns the track into a cosmic toe-tapper with a beat that almost recalls yacht-rock. Speaking of the remix, she said it’s “"such an honour to do a remix for everyone’s favourite voice, John Grant. For this remix I’ve just taken a bit of his gorgeous vocal but tried to place it in a totally different context, with some slightly off-kilter off-beats ’n’ slides action rounding it all off."

The remix will be released this Friday (June 3) with other interpretations of the track coming from Gwenno, Wrangler and more. Grant also begins a run of UK shows next week starting in Salisbury on June 8 and taking in a sold-out show at London’s Royal Albert Hall as well as an appearance at Field Day on June 12.
