Here We Go Magic – A Different Ship
I first heard Here We Go Magic in New York. I was with Elbow doing a radio session, and when it finished, my friend who represents the band out there put it on without saying anything. I was: "Wow! What is this?" This is a Nigel Godrich-produced record, so you can imagine it's an astonishingly beautiful record. It's experimental, it's lively and it's just gorgeous by anybody's money. I would start with 'Over The Ocean', listening-wise. Again, I loved them so much that we took them on tour a couple of years ago and made friends with them. I did a documentary on them, too, as part of the Music Box series.
