The Avalanches have been announced to play the second day of this year’s Field Day festival at Hackney’s Victoria Park.
One of a number of shows this summer, the set will mark their first appearance in the UK since 2001 and their first live show overall since 2007. Further dates are expected to be announced shortly. The confirmation comes shortly after the group updated their various social media profiles this week sparking suspicions of activity from the group. There is no confirmation yet on new music from the group though. Field Day takes place at London’s Victoria Park from June 11-12. You can get tickets and check out the full line-up here.
The band have also been confirmed to play Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, as previously speculated, on June 3 and 5 and Australia’s Splendour In The Grass which takes place from July 22-24.
