David Bowie – The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
On the wings of Marc Bolan and the whole glam thing, David Bowie happened. He had content, he had style and he had a vision. He was a different type of pop hero in all ways and he defined the new era so much better than anybody else in his time. Space Oddity and The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy… were such important steps forward that it is almost impossible to describe. With Ziggy, he reunited an old rock & roll sensibility with a completely new cosmic sound and glamour, and he expanded live shows into operatic theatrical events. We cannot say anything about Bowie and his importance for the music that followed that hasn't been already said, so we won't. Bowie inspired us all, especially with his camp diversity and transformations.
