The Avalanches To Play Primavera?

Australian group have possibly left an anagram-based clue to hint at live appearance at Primavera Sound

UPDATE: While the below poster mostly appears to feature the real line-up for this year’s Primavera Sound, it would seem that the addition of Society Fun Lie, reported as a potential appearance by the Avalanches, is in fact incorrect.

The line-up for this year’s Primavera Sound in Barcelona has today been announced with some suitably heavyweight names among the billing including Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey and Brian Wilson performing the classic Beach Boys album Pet Sounds.

Curiously, among the billing for Friday’s action is Society Fun Lie. With Google turning up no search results and the name of this unknown act forming an anagram of ‘Since I Left You’, it looks considerably possible that The Avalanches will be reuniting to play Primavera also. The group hasn’t played together for almost five years while the long-anticipated second album from them, following up 2000’s Since I Left You, has apparently been in the works since at least 2005. With a reunion at Primavera looking highly likely, 2016 could also be the year that the second album from the Avalanches finally sees release. You can check out the Primavera line-up in full via the poster below.
