This October Recon Festival will round up a number of exciting names in experimental and electronic music for a month-long series of DIY shows across multiple venues in Leeds and Bradford.

Featured on the line-up for this year’s edition of the festival are Plaid, Mumdance, Helm, Hookworms in collaboration with Richard Formby, Karen Gwyer, Xiu Xiu, Container and The Space Lady. The festival will present some of these acts in special settings with Hookworms, for example, playing a one-off kids’ gig and workshop while San Francisco street musician The Space Lady will perform as part of a day programmed with “out-there sounds for all the family”. You can find out more about the festival and get tickets for the various events taking place as part of Recon Festival here. Above you can check out a mix from Andy Abbott, one of the gang behind Recon, which features tracks from a number of acts playing this year including Mumdance, Karen Gwyer, Container and Xiu Xiu.
