Belgian techno label Token last year released the impressive Vaudeville album from London-based producer Inigo Kennedy and they are now following up the album with a remix EP, handing over ‘Requiem’ to producers Efdemin, Regis, Kangding Ray and Dasha Rush, whose remix you can listen to above.
The remix, entitled ‘Requiem For Humanity’, sees Dasha Rush offering up a starkly different interpretation of the original’s bleak techno, reshaping it into a composition of piano chords and processed spoken word vocals, throwing in the more beat-driven stylings of the original at around the two-minute mark. The rest of the remix EP also offers up a selection of austere versions of Kennedy’s original that are well worth checking out too upon its release this Monday.
