LISTEN: Chelsea Wolfe’s “Carrion Flowers”

Stream second single from album Abyss below

Californian singer-songwriter (that sounds cheery, doesn’t it?) Chelsea Wolfe has just released another crepuscular slab of goth-industrial folk. The track opens with spiraling, grinding electronics before blooming into a factory’s worth of punishing bass kicks that threaten to (but never quite) swallow Wolfe’s vocals.

Inspired by Wolfe’s recent struggles with sleep paralysis, "Carrion Flowers" arrives in the wake of April’s unsettling "Iron Moon". Look here for upcoming shows with fellow alt-country spooks Wovenhand. Preorder the record here if you live in the UK or here if you live in the US.
