Port Eliot Festival Confirms More Names

Ibibio Sound Machine, Kiran Leonard, Villagers and more added to the line-up

A new batch of artists have just been confirmed for St. Germans’ Port Eliot Festival. Joining the event, held at what is believed to be the oldest continually inhabited dwelling in the UK, are afro-electro eight piece Ibibio Sound Machine, Manchester singer-songwriter Kiran Leonard, Irish indie folksters Villagers, as well as Stornoway, Fisherman’s Friends, Colorama, Jonnie Common and Will Varley.

An eccentric melange of music, literature, food, fashion, comedy and more, The festival runs from July 30 to August 2. This year, extra-musical events include The Wardrobe Department, a show curated by the British Fashion Council’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent Sarah Mower, and stages curated by slacker-centric The Idler magazine and the logophiles from The Happy Word. Festivities will find their way indoors with tours of the manor and basement exhibits and Port Eliot’s annual Flower Show will make its triumphant return, this time joining with the Festival’s various culinary delights under the Flower and Fodder banner.
