Here's the video for Siran Fen from Ba Power, coming next month

Malian ngoni master Bassekou Kouyaté and his band Ngoni Ba are gearing up to release a new album. Ba Power is due out on their new label Glitterbeat Records on April 27, after which they'll be launching the record with a gig at London's Scala on May 31 (details of that are here), which they'll be following with dates at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, May 3, and Wychwood Festival, 30.

The album, the group's fourth, comes in the wake of 2013's Jama Ko, and sees Kouyaté joined by a cast of guests, among them Samba Touré, trumpeter Jon Hassell, Thurston Moore associate Chris Brokaw, Zoumana Tereta, Adama Yalomba and Dave Smith, with Tamikrest collaborator Chris Eckman handling production duties. We've already given 'Siran Fen' from the album a play on the first edition of our Quietus Hour radio show, and now we're fortunate enough to have the video; take a look at that above and get hold of the LP from the label on release.
