Santana - Abraxas
I listened to this again the other day and these guys are… fuck… This was the record that really got me into Santana. There are a couple of versions of it and I think I have the later one that has 'Black Magic Woman' and 'Oye Como Va' of course. But it's when you listen to side B - songs like 'Mother's Daughter' and that whole section… that shit is more stoner rock than anything. People want to listen to stoner or desert rock? This shit was going on long before Kyuss or anyone else that's considered stoner rock. Kyuss loved to jam but these guys were doing it long before we were even fucking born. These guys are the real fuckin' deal and this record will always, always be in my top ten.
