The Doors - Strange Days
I put Strange Days here not because it's my favorite Doors record, but because it's the one I listened to most recently. I hadn't heard it in a long time and I thought "Holy shit", while pushing repeat. As a singer, I love vocals and I love poetry. I listen to everything from Terence Trent D'Arby and Chris Cornell to Jim Morrison. I'm a fan of singers - truly I am. Jim is a poet. Robbie Krieger is an amazing artist and I think he can be next to Jimi Hendrix on that legend page. The Doors are a jam band and that really appeals to me. I don't know how many times - and I mean this with all due respect to my wife - I've made out to 'Moonlight Drive'. It takes me back to those times. They were the real deal, man. Straight out of Venice, Los Angeles…
