Rory Grubb - Sketches From The Big Sleep - 'I Saw You Go Out Fishing'
I first saw Rory Grubb in Dublin a few years ago. He just silently handed me a CD of his songs and it was the slight hunch of his shoulders as he walked away that reminded me a bit of Nick Drake, which was strange as his voice sounds a bit like him too. But his instrumentation is quite different and wonderfully inventive. This song has been one I have played again and again, especially the build of the intro.
