Seismic newsflash: Godflesh have put an official release date on their long-awaited new album, A World Lit Only By Fire, their first full LP since Hymns in 2001 and a follow-on from the Decline & Fall EP out earlier this year, as Pitchfork report. It’ll be released on Avalanche Recordings, the label run by Justin Broadrick, on October 6 and has been preceded by the immensely satisfying piledriver that is opener ‘New Dark Ages’, which you can stream above.
