Shellac have announced that their fifth album, Dude Incredible, will be released on September 16 via Touch And Go, report Pitchfork. It’s their first since 2007’s Excellent Italian Greyhound, and was recorded at frontman Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio studio over the last few years, making good on what he told us in our interview last year. As per usual, the band are taking a no frills approach: "This record will have no formal promotion. There will be no advertisements, no press or radio promotion, no e-promotion, no promotional or review copies, no promotional gimmick items, and otherwise no free lunch." Remember, though: "There is no comma in ‘Dude Incredible’; like ‘Sir Duke’ or King Friday, for example." No ham sandwiches maybe, but they have got these live dates coming up:
