I tried to pick records that I could listen to front to back at any point in my life, no matter how I was feeling at the time. I've already made public my complete adoration for Fleetwood Mac and The Beach Boys, so I left them off because if I didn't, I would've just filled up the whole list with their records. Most of these records I've loved since my teenage years so either they really stand the test of time or I'm stuck in some weird Peter Pan fantasy world where I can't grow up. I'm also going to warn you that most of these records are real bummers, but what can I say, the world is shit.

The Body are currently touring Europe, playing Church of St Thomas the Martyr in Bristol with Årabrot and Hey Colossus tonight, followed by the Quietus' stage at Desertfest tomorrow, April 26; head here for full details of the upcoming dates. "I think Robbie Robertson is the only non-family member who can visit Leonard Peltier in prison, which is pretty crazy. "

That made me laugh, for some reason.

I really enjoyed this list - some stuff you'd be a fool to leave off, and some interesting stuff I've never heard of, which is an ideal combination.

I really liked how succinct his descriptions were. As a big fan of Rudimentary Peni and similar I've meant to give Zounds a try for ages... In fact I think I might do that right now.
