South London songsmith Sam Howard, aka Halls, is releasing his second album, Love To Give, via No Pain In Pop on February 10. His follow-up to 2012’s Ark has him aiming to “embrace the sound of human beings”, which, if ‘Waves’ is anything to go by, is organ-hooked misery, leavened delicately with optimism, and rather charming pop it makes for too.
