John Cale cover set to feature on new single, Left Of The Rocks, out in February; tour starting next week

London's Younghusband will be releasing their next single, 'Left Of The Rocks', on February 17 via Sonic Cathedral. It's off their debut LP, Dromes, released by SC in September, and comes backed with a live in the studio version of the track as well as a cover of John Cale's 'Gun', from his 1974 album Fear. Says the band's Euan Hinshelwood about 'Gun': “We covered the John Cale song because we’re all big fans of the Velvets and many of their solo albums, too. Lyrically ‘Gun’ is a great story – very dark, intriguing characters. We were never going to try and do a similar version to the original because it has an almost untouchable energy, full of amphetamine. We wanted to make it kind of spookier and warped."
