Laurie Tuffrey , November 27th, 2013 12:30

Rafter of ace indie labels return to Spitalfields for some market merrymaking, along with DJing and local breweries

Ho ho hold up! What are you doing this Saturday (November 30)? Coming to the Independent Label Market's Christmas special at Old Spitalfields Market in London? Good on you! Following on from last year's festive spectacular, some of the country's finest indie labels will be selling their wares direct, with Domino, Fire, O.Genesis, Phantasy, Pink Flag, Sonic Cathedral, Soundway, Stolen and Warp amongst those setting up. As ever, there'll be a host of ILM exclusives, including Matt Berry signing copies of his album Kill The Wolf, one of our favourite LPs of the year so far, at the Acid Jazz stall, signed Mulatu Astatke at Strut (where copies of Trevor Jackson's Metal Dance mix will be given away with the first 20 purchases) and signed Tom Waits, Mavis Staples and Bryce Dessner records at Anti-, with proceeds going to Philippines disaster relief.

There'll also be DJing throughout the day, including sets from East India Youth and Coldcut amongst others, as well as stacks of local ale on tap, with ILM having teamed up with The Five Points Brewing Company, Camden Town Brewery, Signature Brew, Redchurch Brewery and others. For full details, head to the event's Facebook page and have a listen to a specially prepared mixtape below:
